New 6th of October City is one of Egypt’s latest fourth-generation urban developments. It has been established as part of the new master plan for 6th of October City, serving as a major extension of the existing city. The project aims to accommodate a larger population through new residential, commercial, and service-oriented developments built to modern standards

Location of New 6th of October City

New 6th of October City is strategically located along Al Wahat Road.

  • The city begins directly behind the industrial zone of 6th of October City.
  • It extends along Al Wahat Road over an area of approximately 60,000 feddans.
  • It is separated from the existing 6th of October City by only one main road, ensuring direct connectivity between both areas.

Urban Division of New 6th of October City

New 6th of October City spans a total area of approximately 90,000 feddans.

Currently, around 12,000 feddans are under active development and supervision, including several major projects such as:

  • A Monorail station as part of the rapid transit network.
  • Badya Project (Palm Hills partnership) covering approximately 3,000 feddans in its first phase.
  • Social Housing Project within an 800-feddan area.
  • Sakan Misr Project, consisting of approximately 171 residential buildings.
  • Distinguished Housing Plots in North Al Wahat area (around 1,000 feddans), including 3,272 plots, with 298 plots currently available.
  • National Housing Project covering 350 feddans, including developments such as Deyaar Palms.
  • Rabwa October area near “Ibn Beitak 6”, featuring residential and service plots and approximately 212 social housing buildings.
  • Premium housing plots west of the railway, totaling around 1,232 plots.

One of the most important logistics developments in the area is the Dry Port Project, which serves as a major trade gateway facilitating import and export operations.
